Makes me want to sneak out with the new fishing poles that we haven't had time to use yet! Aw, the kids would tell on me anyway.
I like to walk around the yard early in the morning while the kids are still in bed. Eat some berries, do a little weeding, chase the heron off of the pond and enjoy the birds chasing each other around the trees between songs. Peaceful.
I was thrilled to catch this honeybee zooming into the squash blossom, you can even see his little shadow. Contrary to what's being said on the news, there is an abundance of honeybees in my garden and yard this year. Can't remember the last time I've seen so many.
a very tender, mild italian zucchini and it was delicious!
Mystery, Blaze, Teddy and Jasmine hiding in the corner.
Too cute! Gotta love those babies! This is Bernsen, he is two and I could sit and watch him all day.
My favorite part of the zoo. At least they all look like they are having fun.
On another vein, the polar bear died in May of kidney disease. How sad. They don't know if they will replace him or not. Much as I loved watching him swim around, I hope they don't. No polar bear should have to live through Oklahoma summers!
This camels name is Sarah. Brady thought that was funny.
You can now have a ride on a camel at the zoo. The kids seemed to enjoy it.
This is one big feller! He walked right over and posed for me to snap this beauty of a photo. Thanks!
another pacer. I love to go to the zoo, I like that my kids can see animals up close but still....
I don't usually see the jaguar out but did this time. Sort of makes me wish I hadn't. His constant pacing makes me sad for him.
Setting up the big fireworks tent! And the brand new Java Jos is right next to it. They also have snowcones. How convenient!
It's not nice to poke turtles with sticks. But sometimes you just gotta.
This turtle is hiding out under my car today. He's pretty big, his shell alone is at least 12" long. I don't know if he's lost, sick or just resting but man, they have weird looking eyes! There are tons of turtles in the pond, what's one more? I feel kind of sorry for it.
We've had this one duck for at least 8 years. The rest have all flown away or been eaten and we are left with Larry. He is best friends with Pepe' the rooster. They hang out in the yard together. So does Larry think he's a chicken or does Pepe' think he's a duck?
Stupid cat laid on and BROKE one of my squash. Cat bastard!
